Colubus, Ohio temple trip

Saturday we where able to go to the temple in Ohio. I realized that I am so spoiled! When we lived in Logan the temple was less than five minutes away and I bet we went once every 3 or 4 months. When I lived at home and babysat for families in the ward that went to the Ogden temple it took three or four hours. When we lived in W. Jordan and Payson I thought it was hard because I had to get a babysitter and it was a whole 2o min. away!!! Now as we traveled 2 hours and 20 min. to get to the temple I realized driving into a different state trumps all. After the long drive with kids Jeff and I had to switch off so Jeff did a session first and then me while the other one entertained children for 2 hours. Thankfully the sessions where so incredible they were WELL worth it. As I talked to people later I told them I thought it was important for my kids to see what an effort mom and dad made to make it to the temple. When we got home at 11:30 that night I had to remind myself of these things. But now K. and W. talk about it all the time and W. is drawing pictures of it, and he wrote "The temple" that is the first thing he has written himself . It made me so grateful for the temples and I realized 2 hours was not as bad as saving my whole life for the one time I could go.
