Feeling so torn

I have loved it here in Indiana in so many ways. The town is so nice when you go to the bank, library, or store everyone knows who you are (I think that has something to do with the fact that I have three young kids taging along with me). I have met friends that I love. W. has met so many friends and has loved his kindergarten teacher. K. loves her cousins and her nursery teacher.
It is different here though. I don't like to go outside because I am affraid of what my kids will see and hear from the neighbor kids not to mention you can't breath because everyone is smoking.
I like so many things about being far from Utah as far as the church goes though it makes me get out of my bubble. Not all of my friends are members and all my neighbors don't go to the same church as me and so it gets me excited to do missionary work. I have to make a huge effort to go visiting teaching because of how far our ward boundries span. Which is good because it helps me remember how important V.T. is. My kids get to have the missionaries in our house every week and they have learned to play with each other because there are no friends real close to run and play with. They do have friends to play with I just have to set up play dates.
I miss my family and friends and I feel like because it was me who left they are going on with their lives and have forgotten about me and my life. I recently went to an OB here and she told me I had major PMS pathetic I know but there is actually medication for this "condition" and I have met other people who are on it so I am not making this up. I will attribute my whining to that right now because I really do like it here and I KNOW this is what the Lord wanted for me and my family.

You guys did the right thing and everyone is proud of you. We all miss you, of course, but are thrilled that life has been so good to you in Indiana.
This was a huge adjustment for you and Jeff, being that you guys lived in ID and UT all your lives (and there's nothing wrong with that, by the way!) and you are getting to experience life outside UT for the first time. IT's exciting and scary all at the same time. When we go back to CA, I'm sure we're in for some major cultural shock as well.
You guys are doing great, we all love you and miss you and are rooting you on from here!
Go Lukes!! WOO HOO!!!!
